Using these mixtures together with nitrocellulose, different ignition materials were produced. Additionally, modified N.S.P. ignition propellants and modified benite strands, also based on B/KNO3 and Zr/Ba(NO3)2, were manufactured using a pressing process and a double screw extruding process. In all cases, the ignition materials containing B/KNO3 and Zr/Ba(NO3)2 exhibited a better ignition efficiency than the conventional nitrocellulose component powders, containing the black powder components (N.S.P.-S-526), and the conventional benite strands.enBariumnitratBeniteBerechnungBorExplosionswärmeExtrudierungFlammentemperaturGranulierungKaliumnitratKNO3LOVANKPNSPoptische BombePhasenumwandlungPressungRohrwaffeSprengkapselThermochemieTreibladungspulverZirkonZünderZündung660Determination of the performance of ignition powdersconference paper
