Rapid Tooling by Stereolithography, Selective laser Sintering and Controlled Metal Build Up offers an interesting alternative to the conventional time consuming processes for the manufacture of prototype tools required for limited production runs. Milling with toroidal end mills and small tools is a way to accelerate manufacture of dies and molds for series production. Both of these approaches will be explained in this paper.enFormenbauHSC-FräsenRapid FabricationRapid PrototypingRapid ToolingWerkzeugbau670658Rapid fabrication of dies and molds for pilot and series productionconference paper
