Now additionally two eddy-current techniques are developed which work with ferrite-core-pick-up-coils. The first one allows the determination of the properties electrical conductivity and initial incremental permeability; 2D-finite-element interpretation is used for calibration. The second technique is an eddy-current impedance spectroscopy which can be used to evaluate hardness gradients received by induction- and Laser-hardening. The contribution refers the new techniques, their detectability and resolution.
