To account for this, a micromechanical liquid phase sintering model was extended to take the anisotropic shrinkage into account. Starting point is the liquid phase sintering model of Riedel and co-workers, which includes particle rearrangement, flattening of particle contacts and grain coarsening as densification mechanismus. The anisotropic model is implemented in the finite element code ABAQUS as a material subroutine.enanisotropyliquid phase sinteringsimulationfinite element531620Modelling of anisotropic shrinkage during liquid phase sinteringconference paper
