Sleep disorders are among the most common health problems. They have multiple causes, and different clinical disciplines collaborate to arrive at the proper diagnosis and therapy. After insomnia, sleep apnea or sleep disordered breathing is the second most common sleep disorder and is divided into two major categories: obstructive and central. This chapter discusses devices for monitoring patients at home and in sleep laboratories. Different therapeutic methods for patients with sleep apnea syndrome are discussed.en610620Sleep diagnostic systemsbook article
