New methods for geometrical and physical compression of transversal isotropic fiber networks are proposed. The geometrical compression works well when the compression ratio is less than 30%. The modulus of elasticity is obtained for different densities and we obtained the profile of modulus of elasticity throughout thickness. This result is used to simulate a macromechanical three point bending test using the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory. The modulus of elasticity in bending, which is simulated is in good agreement with those found in the literature (difference less than 10 %).en003006519Numerical prediction for the modulus of elasticity of L-MDF platesconference paper
