Wilson, Helen RoseHelen RoseWilson2022-03-082022-03-081992https://publica.fraunhofer.de/handle/publica/320289The work presented at the previous TI workshop on micro-encasulated liquid crystal films has been continued with a different liquid crystal, which results in a greater change in the direct-hemispherical transmission (up to 38%) in the solar spectral range with thinner switching layers. I addition to the transmittance and reflectance spectra for normal incidence, the dependence of the visual transmittance on non-normal angles of incidence will be shown. Aspects of the voltage dependence of transmittance and power consumption are also discussed. Further, the first results of long term stability tests will be presented.endirect hemispheric transmissionlong-term stabilitypower consumptionvoltage dependence621697Transmission switching using micro-encapsulated liquid crystal filmsconference paper
