In this work, advanced concepts are transferred to Ho3+:YAG lasers, enabling power scaling and an increased mechanical stability. This includes the investigation of a segmented laser crystal, the design of a master oscillator power amplifier system as well as a Porro prism-based resonator geometry. Further, the 2µm laser is used to pump an optical parametric oscillator.enDissertationHighly Repetitive 2 μm Holmium Solid-State Lasers: Power Scaling, Mechanical Stability, and Nonlinear Conversiondoctoral thesis
