However, apart from introducing a formal innovation process, many firms find it difficult to create the proper organisational settings to support their innovation activities. In our study of 86 German manufacturers, we elaborate on selected organisational issues, such as the allocation of innovation responsibility, the design of organisational interfaces etc. to fully understand how these companies organise for innovation today.
