DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The bearing layer is of copper or aluminium and the rounded peaks (4) have diameters of 3 to 8 microns. The peaks cover 30 to 50 percent of the surface and with a surface roughness of 3 to 7 microns. The electron beam deposition is performed at a pressure less than 0.1 Pa at a rate of 100 nm per sec. During deposition the substrate is held at a temperature of between 75 and 95 percent of the lowest melting point of the layers. USE - Metal bearings. ADVANTAGE - A bearing layer which is resistant to corrosion and which has improved bearing properties.de608667670620Gleitlager und Verfahren zu seiner HerstellungBearing surface for metal bearing.patent1998-19824310
