Currently, the department is focused on high-speed and high-precision signal conditioning for various sensor systems being able to simultaneously connect many sensors to signal conditioning blocks as well as integrated digital controllers. These circuits need to be supplied by power electronic components such as dc-dc converters with high requirements on efficiency and area. The main objective of this work is to design a highly efficient dc-dc-converter in a standard CMOS technology. The circuit must meet a peak efficiency of >90% in order to supply sensor systems with 1.7V to 8V to be converted down from input dc voltages above 4.5 V. The work should consider suitable circuit techniques to achieve the requirements in efficiency. The circuit needs to fulfill specification for automotive electronics temperature range and 3-sigma process spread.enDDC::000 Informatik, Informationswissenschaft, allgemeine WerkeDesign of a high efficiency dc-dc converter in standard 180nm CMOS technologymaster thesis
