During configuration and operation of the CNC a couple of difficulties have to be solved. The user expects to be supported efficiently by the machine producer. A fast and simple contact between user and producer has to be installed in the kind of a CNC integrated remote service system. As the operator has an increasing responsibility for the machine, there is a further need for process supervision and diagnosis of the electromechanical components. The overall target is to achieve a high degree of availability of the machine. The paper describes a unique system for an CNC integrated remote diagnosis and supervision, process supervision for milling and model based diagnosis for feed drives, which was implemented into a new open CNC generation.dechecklistChecklisteFerndiagnosemodel based diagnosismodellgestützte Diagnoseprocess supervisionProzeßüberwachungremote diagnosistool breakagetool supervisionWerkzeugüberwachung670Modellgestützte Maschinendiagnose, Prozeßüberwachung und Ferndiagnose1conference paper
