Abstract
Wild barley Hordeum vulgare ssp. spontaneum as ancestor and closely related species to cultivated barley is an appropriate starting point for allele mining to improve plant performance. For this purpose, the multiparental nested association mapping(NAM) population HEB-25 was developed, which provides exotic wild barley introgressions. After several years of population development HEB-25 consists of 1,420 HEB lines in 25 HEB families in generation BC1S3.
