Optimized energy generation for rural areas
Energy efficiency and energy savings are not just challenges for urban areas, but also rural areas have to be addressed. Mostly rural communities neither have sufficient knowledge nor the financial capabilities to implement necessary measures. Such communities need simple and understandable advices to improve its energetic surrounding. This paper presents an approach to optimize the energy generation depending on the community's energy demand and the investment costs. The developed tool allows each community to create the most suitable set of generation devices. Furthermore we discuss the influencing parameters on the optimization model and its outcome. The results base on real data of reference communities.
