Novel conformal antenna concept for security applications
A novel antenna integration concept is presented in this paper. It is based on a combination of antennas integrated into a wearable electronic system for security applications. The concept allows for separate design and optimization of the antennas and the electrical components required for system functionality to achieve the desired electrical performance. For an illustration of this concept, planar inverted F-antennas (PIFAs) were chosen. They were modeled, optimized, fabricated and measured. Very good correlation was obtained between measurement and simulation results.
