Simplification of process technology for high-efficiency solar cells
Abstract
The main cost factor in solar cell production is still related to the area-proportional costs. It is therefore obvious that high-efficiency solar cells are required to minimize the overall system costs. On the other hand, high-efficiency processes for Si and GaAs are still very cost intensive. This paper addresses ways to simplify the process technology and to maintain still high-efficiency values.
