Abstract
Embodiments provide a method of transferring data between a user terminal and another device. The method comprises a step of generating a signal for driving an electromagnetic functional unit, wherein the electromagnetic functional unit is an actuator of a loudspeaker of the user terminal or wherein the electromagnetic functional unit is an electromagnetic resonant circuit connected to the user terminal. The method further comprises a step of driving the electromagnetic functional unit with the generated signal to generate by the electromagnetic functional unit a magnetic signal carrying first data to be transmitted from the user terminal to the other device. The method further comprises a step of detecting a different signal output from the other device, the other signal carrying second data to be transmitted from the other device to the user terminal. The magnetic signal and the other signal differ in the physical signal type.
