Umfassendes Projektcontrolling mit Hilfe der Produktreifegradmethode

Komplexer werdende Produkte, kürzere Entwicklungszeiten und steigende Anforderungen an die Risikominimierung in Entwicklungsprojekten haben den Einsatz neuer Projektcontrollingmethoden erforderlich gemacht. Die in diesem Bereich vorgestellte Methode zur Messung des Produktreifegrades mit Hilfe von Indikatoren ist ein möglicher Ansatz. Der bisherige Einsatz der Methode in der Automobilbranche und dem Anlagenbau hat gezeigt, daß auch in anderen Branchen, wie z.B. der Bauindustrie, der Softwareerstellung oder bei Reengineeringprojekten, die Absicherung der Projektzielerreichung durch Produktreifegradmessung möglich ist. Die Methode dient in der hier beschriebenen Ausprägung vor allem Projektleitern großer und komplexer Projekte zur Überwachung und Berichterstattung.

Products becoming more complex, shorter development cycles and rising requirements to minimize risks in development projects made the application of new methods for project controlling and status reports necessary. One possible approach is the method of measuring product maturity using indicators as presented in this article. The past application of the method in the automotive industry and the equipment industry showed that an application in other industries, e.g. the construction industry, software engineering or in reengineering projects following the strategy of measuring product maturity is possible. The method described serves project managers of large and complex projects for monitoring and reporting.
