Title

RFID and self-organisation enable internet of things

Abstract
Logistics is experiencing considerable changes. Innovative I&C technologies set the basis for new applications and at the same time drastically change the architecture of existing systems [11, 12]. This development was triggered by RFID. Owing to linked communication processes via the Internet and the combination of other technical components like wireless sensor networks the range of applications by far exceeds the mere identification of goods within the material flow. One of the most fascinating results of this development is the self-organisation of logistic objects. The Internet of Things is realised in seven steps.
