Bewitterung von Fachwerkwänden

The heat insulation of half-timbered walls often can be improved in monumental listed buildings with critical interior insulations only. The suitability of the interior insulations has to be examinated in order to minimize the risk out of inadmissible moisture accumulation. The fitness of different interior insulations was investigated in the twin-climate chamber at the WKI under simulated weathering supported by numerical simulation. Thereupon the success of installed interior insulations is controlled in a maintained framework building by in-situ measurements.
