Ecosystem for community based enrichment and distribution of interactive, non-linear videos

Abstract
Nowadays, video is one of the most-important and fastest growing part of the internet. Many people are consuming and sharing videos on social networks. Interactive video is a new technology to engage users even more and deliver a better experience. However, currently, systems to create interactive videos in an intuitive and user friendly approach are still missing. This thesis will introduce an approach that will allow people to create, manage and publish interactive videos in an easy and user friendly way. The system will use a state of the art architecture based on web-technologies and cloud-computing to allow a better experience. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to retrieve statistics about the consumption of those videos. Moreover, this thesis will introduce a new approach for consumers using social networks as a platform to build and share interactive videos. Besides, it will be discussed how to deliver the same experience to smartphone users.
