Title
ForgeTrustee: Guided and Comparable Modeling of Data Trustee Architectures
Abstract
Designing data trustee architectures requires coordinating legal, organizational, and technical requirements, yet available approaches are either too high-level and descriptive or too technical for non-experts. ForgeTrustee addresses this gap with a web-based, question-driven wizard grounded in a formal ontology. The system translates familiar organizational decisions into a semantically rigorous model, continuously validates inputs with SHACL for completeness and consistency, and compiles the result into RDF for export, comparison and reuse. Uncommon but logically valid configurations remain selectable; the system surfaces inconsistencies, explains issues in plain language, and indicates suitable control families. We position ForgeTrustee within HCI for governance tooling, contrast it with ontology editors and enterprise governance platforms, and outline an evaluation with practitioners designing or operating data trustees. Preliminary feedback indicates that guided interaction and automatic validation reduce setup time and increase confidence compared to manual ontology editing.
