Beobachtung der Schmierstoffbewegung in Wälzlagern

1993 , Spur, G. , Göke, U.

Today in most cases rolling bearings of high-speed spindles of machine tools are lubricated with grease or oil. The practicable advantages of the oil minimum quantity lubrication cannot be used completely, because there is a deficiency of knowledge concerning the motion of oil in the bearing. At the IWF layers of oil on the surface of ball bearings and their change at different parameters have been observed with a high-speed camera. From the results conclusions are drawn about the best location of oil supply.
