The decentralised self-organisation of dynamic processes in the Internet of things adds another layer of complexity to the material flow control mechanisms. it is more than ever essential to analyse those processes with the help of simulation. We present an approach for integrating the concept of multiagent systems within an exis discrete event simulation model. This enable the direct comparison between classical centraliesed material flow control and a multiagent-based control. The use of automated analysis and code generation enables the reuse of large-scale, industrial models which represent a more realistic testing ground than common testbed enviroments. The example will demonstrate the simulation of large.scale baggage handling system in which the routing is controlled by a multiagent system using an adapted version of Cynamic Source Routing. The agents´and the communications' infrastructure are integrated into the model to facilitate the analysis of the interaction between agents.
