Abstract
Solar photovoltaic day-ahead forecasts are needed for transmission system operation and must distinguish between potential feed-in and actual feed-in. Relevant effects like self-consumption should be modelled accurately in both space and time to generate forecasts of high quality. This paper presents Fraunhofer IEE’s Solar Prediction System IEE.SPS and shows recent results for three German electricity grid operator control zones.
