To survive in turbulent environments and to get long-term success, transformability of production systems is a sustainable strategy for manufacturing enterprises. In this article a factory cockpit is introduced for increasing flexibility and fast, secured implementation of economic transformability. As its name suggests, the factory cockpipt is used for monitoring current operational factory conditions, but also for planning tasks. The visualisation is based on an actual digital factory model. Each real resource has its digital factory cockpit representative indicating the current conditions and enabling the supervision with traffic light logic. When there are challenges identified, integrated planning tools can be used to find a solution, based on the current status quo of the factory.
