This paper describes an empirical research conducted on two regional networks of Software Engineering Professionals in Germany. Both networks were established in the context of a nation-wide project that aims to provide software engineering know-how especially for SMEs. The results of this research provide an insight into the usage of interorganizational network and, participants' motivations, as well as Software Engineering's professional self-conception.
