RSS stands for either Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. You may subscribe to Publica search results via RSS to receive alerts about our collection. A Publica RSS Feed will automatically deliver onto your computer the most current 15 records that match your search.

From an end-user’s point of view, RSS is a protocol used by Web content providers (e.g. Websites, Weblogs, online-databases, etc.) to let anyone who is interested subscribe to their contents. Through a Feed subscription via RSS, you receive timely information in the form of links containing news headlines, short summaries or search results that are automatically delivered onto your computer. You can decide for yourself, whether to follow these links to view the full content at the Websites of the content providers.

In order to subscribe and read RSS Feeds, you will need one of the following:
a) a RSS reader, or
b) a RSS add-in for your email program, or
c) a Web browser that supports RSS Feeds (e.g. Firefox, Netscape, Opera, Safari)

Unlike a newsletter subscription, no registration is required for a RSS Feed subscription and you can delete a Feed from your reader anytime you wish.
