- the bibliographic data (metadata) corresponding to your publication
- your publication in an electronic format. If you are submitting a PDF-file, please do not lock it. This is to enable full-text searching, and for us to further process your file (e.g. to disable “copy & paste” and editing)
- a copyright declaration stating that:
- You grant us the non-exclusive right to publish your work in Fraunhofer-ePrints and to archive this work on a long-term basis (if necessary, to make technical changes).
- The publication of your work on Fraunhofer-ePrints will not infringe the rights of a third party.

All electronic full-text documents are filed in their respective institute folders of the Fraunhofer internal document server (if necessary, in subfolders classified under the surnames of the first authors). For every document that you upload (using the registration form listed above) you will receive an internal URL corresponding to the path under which this document is saved on our document server. We shall then collect your document from this URL and make the necessary amendments (e.g. conversion to PDF, disable "copy & paste") before publishing it in Fraunhofer-ePrints for public access. Similarly, the metadata that you submit to us will be checked and edited (e.g. standardisation of corporate names, publishers, etc.). The entire editorial process will usually take a few days to be completed. Other information providers may in turn search and make use of the data provided in Fraunhofer-ePrints to supplement the existing data in their metadata repositories.
