Abstract
Many enterprises are facing far-reaching changes in market and competition. The growing globalization brings the various world markets closer together. New competitors, for example from South East Asia, are emerging and heightening the global competition. Additionally, the trend goes from seller markets to buyer markets. Customers are getting more demanding and are no longer willing to tolerate any prolonged delivery periods. Their quality and service demands are constantly growing. Accordingly, enterprises have to strengthen their customer-orientation and flexibility to comply with the requirements of the buyers' markets.
