Titel
CO/NO2 gas mixture analysis using geometric modulated SnO2 gas sensors for improved selectivity
Abstract
The selectivity of SnO2 thin-film gas sensors can be influenced by changing the geometry of the sensitive semiconducting SnO2 layer. This leads to a simple, low cost integrated sensor array for a semiquantitative analysis of the binary gas mixture CO/NO2 in humid air. Individual modification of each sensor within the array via dopants or catalysts is in principle not required. Main effects of the array behaviour can be explained by the influence of the three phase boundary SnO2/Pt/gas.
