Titel
CMOS analog front-end for ripple-control receivers
Abstract
A microcontroller-compatible analog front-end for ripple-control receivers is described. It serves to demodulate ripple-control signals transmitted by public electrical utilities over 50 Hz power lines. Among others, it features a SC-bandpass filter with a programmable center frequency. The selectivity can be varied in the range between 9.52 and 28.57, while maintaining 80 dB rolloff and passband flatness better than 0.1 dB. The front-end has been integrated in CMOS technology. It consumes 55 mW and its die area is 16.3 mmü.
