The small mechanical capacity of gasgenerators demand new non-instrusive diagnostics to derive combustion rate and reaction temperature. The combustion rate is determined applying an array of Si-diodes. A fast two-colour-pyrometer, detecting single particles, and a VIS-spectrometer, giving additional information about combustion components and quality of temperature determination were used simultaneously. The investigated propellants MGO51 and MGO80 showed moderate pressure exponents within 0.3 and reaction temperatures about 1500 K respectively 2000 K.
