Berechnungen von Spitzendruckmessungen mit Hilfe der RANDOM-CHOICE-Methode
Abstract
A numerical methods package, the Random Choice Method (RCM) program, was used to predict the peak pressure values at various locations along a 45 mm diameter, 12.02 m long shock tube. Nine experiments were performed to verify the predictions each with different initial conditions. In each experiment the flow in the shock tube was turbulent. The basic equations used by the RCM code in its predictions are also presented and viscous effects investigated. The comparison reveals that the peak pressures predicted agree to a satisfactory degree with the empirical data but there exists room for improvement in the RCM code.
