Abstract
This paper describes a new method for the fast evaluation of kinetic parameters by the continuous measurement of the gaseous products formed during ethanol formation with infrared gas analyzers. The kinetics of ethanol production from glucose by commercial baker`s yeast which is used in a new type of bioreactor, the "fluidized bed gas/solid reactor", is studied.
