Abstract
The results of wear studies on hard material dispersion coatings which are applied by laser beam surfacing with two continuously supplied powder components are presented. In addition to determining the optimum coating composition, the main objective is to characterize the influence of various components of a wear system on the coating behaviour. The relations between structure and wear properties are discussed.
