Vergleichende Untersuchungen an anhydrithaltigen Brennprodukten aus Natur- und Rauchgasgips
Abstract
Comparative investigations on clacined natural gypsum and flue gas gypsum showed that there is only one Al phase, which may, however, exhibit very different hydration behaviour, depending on the calcining conditions. In respect of hydration behaviour there exists a similarity between the two calcined gypsums. Hydration is accelerated by added substances such as hemihydrate, hydrated lime and potassium sulphate. It has proved possible to give a partial explanation of the reaction mechanism. There was found to be a similarity also in the technological properties with the exception of the higher mixing water requirement in case of calcined flue gas gypsum and the resulting differences in technological properties.
