During the development of insensitive ammunitions and explosives, the sensitivity of the different components against the most important threats has to be determined. At ICT we examine the behaviour of energetic materials with regard to shock, temperature, bullet impact, shaped charge impact and sympathetic detonation. Test methods are, among others, Large Scale Gap Test, Fast Cook Off Test as well as Bullet Impact and Shaped Charge Impact Tests. The experimental setups of these tests, as they are performed at the ICT, are described. Additionally, some results for each test are given.
