Analysis of vibration forms with holographic interferometry and modal analysis
Abstract
Modal analysis and holographic interferometry are currently often used to record vibration forms. The former makes possible the recording of the spatial behaviour of discrete measuring points and the latter allows extensive and contact-free determination of the vibration components in one direction in space. This paper presents a new holography system which measures spatially. The system's performance in comparison with modal analysis is documented using a test structure. It also shows that by combining modal analysis and holography a complete high-performance system can be created.
