Titel
The role of university/industry cooperation in educating the whole engineer
Abstract
Experience shows that young engineers, working on industrially orientated innovative projects, in the course of time get enthusiastic about becoming entrepreneurs themselves. With the help and advice from a suitable environment, for instance, the link to an innovation centre, they will start and develop their own business. The improved co-operative model of engineering education outlined in this paper will ensure that the students' actual education is strongly orientated towards R & D. This should better serve the needs of many large companies.
