Titel
Recycling process planning for discarded complex products - a predictive and reactive approach
Abstract
This paper describes an approach for planning the recycling process of discarded complex products. Recycling planning is defined as planning the recovery and treatment processes. The approach presented here is based on a combination of predictive and reactive planning. Predictive planning is a prognosis of the recycling process, first in the design phase of the product, secondly at the beginning of the recycling process, taking the actual market situation into account. As discarded products are variable, the prediction is uncertain until the product actually arrives in the process. A complementary approach is a reactive plan that dapts the predictive plan to the actual product condition. The approach focuses attention on the recovery by disassembly and is demonstrated by planning the recycling process of cathode ray tubes from discarded monitors. Nr: 94109901590
