Abstract
Powders of self-lubricating materials were produced by mechanical alloying in the system brass/WS2 and brass/graphite. The development of microstructure during the mechanical alloying process was investigated. Homogeneous dispersions of graphite into the brass matrix could be achieved. The wear properties of such cosolidated and sintered composites are reported
