Abstract
As far as magnetic materials are to be tested 3MA is a strong nde-tool for microstructure and residual stress characterization. Measuring quantities are the magnetic Barkhausen noise, the incremental permeability and the dynamic magnetostriction as function of a dynamical magnetization. Because all quantities are multi-dependent of microstructure and stress a computer sided multiparameter-evaluation is needed and used to separate the influence. The contribution reports applications and experiences at weldments with the 3MA-prototype which is a micro-processor controlled equipment. (IZFP)
