Modellierung und Verhaltensanalyse für die modellbasierte Diagnose
Abstract
Prediction Based Diagnosis (henceforth: PBD) in the style of the General Diagnostic Engine of deKleer and Williams is a promising approach to the diagnosis of new or atypical faults. Instead of explicit associations from symptoms to faults it exploits a model of the behavior of a device. In this paper we investigate properties of the modelling formalism and the behavior analysis method required by PBD- We show that neither standard constraint satisfaction nor simulation suffice for behavior analysis when PBD is extended to the diagnosis of dynamical systems. Finally we briefly sketch Extended Episode Propagation, which satisfies all the requirements.
