Modeling of embedded software for automotive applications
Abstract
The primary objective of this paper is to support the design of electronics and embedded software for automotive applications. To accomplish this, we developed a new modeling paradigm based on models of software and the extensive use of analog hardware description languages thus paving the way to the cosimulation of electronics, mechanics and software within an electronics simulator. The strategy is illustrated by an example from automotive system design: a processor-controled wheel suspension following BMW's electronic damper control. Its suitability in function and performance is shown by simulation.
