Reconstruction de Modeles 3D
Abstract
Using fast tactile or optical sensors is a new way to manage the process of geometry definition in the computerised CAD model, the 3D-geometry reconstruction, without the time consuming CAD-construction of the geometry. The digitising of the shape of physical models results in 3D 'point clouds'. Working on these 'point clouds' new CAD methods are necessary to create CAD surface models. Subject of the paper is the state of the art of CAD methods for feature-based and application-oriented definition of free form surfaces in 3D models. These methods are used for mapping geometrical and topological information which is extracted from digitised 'point clouds'.
