Abstract
Laser resonators with at least two resonator mirrors bordering on the resonator are known, in the ray path of which an active laser medium emitting a radiation and at least a folding element reflecting the radiation are arranged and at least one of the mirrors has at least one outcoupling window for the radiation. In order to scale such a folded resonator in a technical simple way, and also offer the possibility of modifying the performance and the beam quality of the radiation coupled out of the resonator to match the requirements in each case, said folding resonator being also particularly suitable for the setup of continuous-duty lasers, the folding element is a beam-transparent folding unit with two parallel surfaces arranged at a distance to each other, one of the surfaces forming a beam entrance surface and the other forming a beam relecting surface, whereby a subarea of the beam entrance surface on which the beams impinge at an angle is partially reflecting and the remaining are as opposite the subarea are less reflecting and the beam reflecting area is a fully reflecting area, whereby the beams emanating from the one mirror and impinging on the partially reflecting surface are split into two partial beams, whereby the one partial beam is reflected in the direction of the other mirror in each case, whereas the other partial beam is reflected in the ...
