Kleben von rostfreiem Stahl - Physikalisch-chemische Grundlagen
Abstract
Adhesive bonding of stainless steel seems to be difficult regarding a sufficient long-term stability. On the other hand refined steel is applied particulary in productive facilities used under extreme environmental conditions. The steel qualities x5 CrNi 18 10 (1.4301) , x2 CrNiMo 17 13 2 (1.4404) and x6 CrNiMoTi 17 12 2 (1.4571) first were investigated electron microscopically on their surface morphology (SEM and TEM) and analytically on the element combination (SNMS, ESCA and AES). The results have shown that there are only slight differences between the varied kinds of steel. The adhesives used here have been room-temperature- or hot-curing epoxide resins, polyurethanes, polyester and an acrylate system. These investigations have been carried out within the associated partners' project "Manufacturing Technology Adhesive Bonding" supported by the German Ministry of Research and Technology.
