Abstract
A single stage gas gun driven by the combustion of hydrogen with oxygen has been used to produce reacting gun inbore flows with realistic ballistic flow conditions. Pressure and temperature histories as well as radial gas velocity have been measured, in order to provide experimental data for interior ballistic model validation. The velocity profiles obtained indicate the formation of significant boundary layers at the inner gun tube wall.
