Abstract
There are no differences In processing HTPB and GAP propellants. The theoretical calculations show a higher specific Impulse and a lower pressure exponent for GAP formulations but substantially high flame temperature. Investigations In the ballistic bomb and In the 40 mm gun Indicate also a higher Impetus for GAP compositions. The temperature dependence are nearly the same for both binders. In the same range are also the mechanical, chemical and thermal properties. Relative to the erosion HTPB propellants gave the better result. In the vulnerability test a higher sensitivity of GAP propellant could be observed under the given conditions.
